The short version: you can play every game without an account. We never ask for your phone number, email, address, bank or card details inside the games. What we keep is small: your game progress, the name you choose to show, and simple counts of which games get played. We don't sell anything about you, and we don't show ads.
Who we are
Naija Arcade (naija-arcade.pages.dev) is a free collection of games made in Nigeria by Emmanuel Emeka Ndubuisi. For anything about your data, email naijaarcade.ng@gmail.com. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What is saved, and why
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your game progress, scores and settings | On your own phone (browser storage) | So you continue where you stopped. It stays on your phone unless you sign in. |
| If you create an account: the name you pick, your PIN (stored only in scrambled form, never readable), and a copy of your progress | Our server | So you can sign in on another phone and keep your progress. |
| The name you show and your points | Our server | Leaderboards. These names are public to other players, so please don't use your full real name. |
| Usage counts: which game was opened, levels reached, seconds played, with a random device code | Our server | To know which games people enjoy and what to improve. The device code is random: it isn't your name or number. |
| Live games: your shown name and moves while a table is open | Our server, briefly | To run games between real people. Tables are cleared soon after they end. |
| Phone a Friend (Naija Millionaire): the question you share and your friend's answer | Our server | So your friend can answer from their phone. |
| Notifications, only if you allow them: a delivery address from your browser | Our server | To send game news. Turn them off any time in your phone or browser settings. |
| Internet (IP) address, for failed sign-ins and some timed contests | Our server | To stop people guessing PINs and to stop cheating. |
Games inside Lagos Life
Naija Whot and Naija Ludo can also be played inside the Lagos Life app (by Vatar). There, Lagos Life gives us only a code number for you that is made for our game alone, your display name, and a short-lived sign-in pass. We never see your Lagos Life username, email, phone number, location or money.
When you buy an extra, the payment happens entirely in Lagos Life's own pay sheet. We never see card or bank details. We keep a record of each purchase (your code number, what you bought, when) so it is never lost and is given to you only once. Match results are sent to Lagos Life by our server so the right person is paid in Lagos Life game money.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the website and our server, so it handles the connection when you visit.
- Google Fonts provides the lettering on some pages.
- WhatsApp: share and challenge buttons open WhatsApp with a ready message. Nothing is sent unless you press send there.
- Lagos Life (Vatar), only for the Lagos Life versions of our games, as explained above.
We don't use advertising or social-media tracking tools, and we don't sell or rent any data.
Children
The games are for everyone. We don't knowingly collect personal details from children: no email or phone number is needed to play. Parents can email us to have anything removed.
How long we keep things
Progress on your phone stays until you clear it. Accounts and their saves stay until you ask us to delete them. Usage counts are kept only as long as they're useful for improving the games. Live tables are deleted soon after they end.
Your choices and rights
- Play without an account: then your progress never leaves your phone.
- Stop usage counting on your phone: open naija-arcade.pages.dev/?notrack=1 once.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything linked to it: email naijaarcade.ng@gmail.com with your account name. We reply within 30 days.
- If you ever claimed a prize from us in the past, the details you sent are kept privately, were used only to pay you, and can be deleted on request.
Changes
If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced in the Arcade.
